Changes coming to Public Hearings for land use and zoning ordinances

Published on March 17, 2026

Beginning April 6, public hearings on quasi-judicial ordinances at City Council meetings, such as land use and zoning decisions, will go through a slight process change. Instead of holding the public hearing during the first reading of an ordinance, hearings will now take place during the second reading.
