Participating in boards or commissions help our city address community needs. Commerce City's boards and commissions have specific responsibilities as detailed in the city charter and the municipal code.
Each board and commission has different roles and responsibilities. Terms of office, membership size, qualifications, and meeting schedules vary for each board and commission. Members are appointed by the City Council on a quarterly basis.

Published openings are listed below and applications are always accepted even if no vacancy is posted. Apply online by clicking the link below. The next quarterly interviews are scheduled for Saturday, July 25. Applications are due by Friday, July 10. Online Application for Appointment If there is a published opening, all applications are scheduled for an interview with the city council subcommittee. City Council will appoint, by resolution, members to each boards and commission vacancy. If a vacancy has not been published, applications will be held for a time until a new vacancy is posted.
