Swimming Lessons
We follow the Starfish Aquatic Institute’s (SAI) curriculum. SAI is an internationally recognized water safety training and certification agency with the mission of reducing drowning and saving lives. In preparation for these changes, our staff underwent training on the new curriculum, as well as training to develop them further as skilled instructors.
To help alleviate the challenges with registering and the long waiting lists, the structure of our program has changed to be a learner-based structure, broken into different colors. Please refer to the lesson matrix in the drop down menus below to see the skills needed to move out of each level. If your child is unable to independently complete any of the benchmarks or skill steps listed for any given level, that level is the most appropriate for your child at this time.

Private Swimming Lessons
If an instructor is available to accommodate your requested days and times, the instructor will reach out to you directly via the phone number provided in the request to schedule the first lesson.
If we are unable to accommodate a private lesson request within 1 month, the request will be removed from the interest list and an email notification will be sent. Inability to accommodate lesson requests is most often due to availability issues. If a lesson request has been removed and you would like to remain on the interest list, a new request form with an updated availability will be required.
- Lesson requests are subject to staff availability and available pool space and cannot be guaranteed.
- Participants may complete up to 8 lessons per lesson request.
- There may be times when we will not accept new lesson requests. If this is the case, please check back later.
