Drivers should expect a single-lane closures on Colorado Boulevard and E. 72nd Avenue from Thursday, Aug. 20 through Friday, Sept. 4 as crews install a new storm sewer and connect it to the existing storm sewer system on Colorado Boulevard.
The work is part of the construction of the new Adams 14 Summit Heights Junior High School, which is located on the south side of E. 72nd Avenue at Birch Street. The lane closure will shift and move as work progresses.
Work hours: Thursday, Aug. 20, through Friday, Sept. 4:
Crews will adjust work around 9 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. to accommodate school traffic as students arrive and leave campus.
Drivers should use caution, follow posted traffic control, and allow extra time when traveling through the area.
