Step 2: Permit Application, Contractor Licensing & Reviews

Once the design is complete and before construction can begin, permit application with a plan review is required to obtain a permit. Commerce City issues building permits for new and alterations to existing commercial and residential buildings and structures. Required Document-General insurance liability certification for a minimum of $300,000 with Commerce City listed as the certificate holder

Reciprocal licenses include Denver, Aurora, Pikes Peak, Arvada & other jurisdictions with matching qualifications may be allowed as proof of testing.
