Highway 2 safety improvements advancing north of E. 104th Avenue

The city has completed the initial phase of safety improvements along the Highway 2 corridor, including the installation of a new center median between E. 96th and E. 104th avenues. This improvement is intended to reduce conflict points and improve overall traffic safety along this heavily traveled corridor.

While major construction is complete in this segment, crews will continue work in May to finalize pavement striping and complete project clean-up. We ask residents to continue to obey traffic control when commuting through the corridor. Lane closures will remain in place during this period before the corridor is fully reopened. Following completion, traffic control will shift north of E. 104th Avenue to Turnberry Parkway, where the next phase of median improvements will be built.

This project reflects the city’s continued commitment to delivering targeted, high-impact upgrades that enhance safety across the transportation network. Learn more about the project by visiting c3gov.com/Hwy2
