Beginning March 23 and continuing through early July, the intersection of Tower Road and E. 96th Avenue will transition into Phase 1 traffic control as part of ongoing construction in the area.

During this phase, E. 96th Avenue at Tower Road will be limited to two-way traffic in both directions, with no dedicated left- or right-turn lanes. Lane widths on Tower Road will be reduced to 11 feet, and daily lane closures will occur to accommodate construction activities such as paving and traffic control adjustments.

Due to these changes, overall intersection capacity will be reduced. During this phase, the focus is on safely moving all roadway users through the intersection.

Commercial and truck traffic is strongly encouraged to use E. 104th Avenue as an alternate route and avoid E. 96th Avenue during this phase.

Drivers are advised to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling through the work zone.
