Sign up to take part in Colorado’s largest Memorial Day Parade
Published on March 19, 2026
One of Commerce City’s favorite traditions is back in the heart of the city on Monday, May 25, as the Commerce City Memorial Day Parade returns for its 60th year! The city is thrilled to welcome different types of entries from around the region to show their patriotic colors as we honor those who have sacrificed for our country.
Organizations and individuals interested in participating in the parade can register to take part in the festivities for free. The event features floats, vehicles, military organizations, marching bands, horses, dancers, and more! Parade entries are required to observe the parade's purpose of honoring the fallen and/or veterans of the armed forces with patriotic themes and decorations. Visit c3gov.com/Parade to review the rules and regulations and submit an entry form through Friday, May 8.
The event brings thousands of people to the city each year to gather along the 1.5-mile route, which starts at E. 64th Avenue and Olive Street, travels past the redevelopment at the former Mile High Greyhound Park property, and finishes along Parkway Drive across from Veterans Memorial Park. After the parade, stay for a concert with food trucks and booths at the park!
Grand Marshal nominations of local veterans accepted through April 3
The city is also accepting nominations of local veterans to be honored as the grand marshal during the event, which begins with a ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park before the parade. The city welcomes nominations of military veterans young and old, from any branch of the armed forces, and local Gold Star Families, to attend in honor of fallen family members. Grand Marshal nomination forms are available through Monday, April 3, at c3gov.com/Parade
