Free Green Yard Waste Drop-Off Event April 18

Residents are invited to kick off the spring season by freshening up their yards at the first free Green Yard Waste Drop-Off event of the year on Saturday, April 18, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

The event will take place at A1 Organics Commerce City, 9109 Monaco Street, providing a convenient and environmentally responsible way to dispose of yard waste. 

Accepted materials include grass clippings, leaves, tree limbs, and other plant debris. Collected materials will be composted, helping reduce landfill waste while supporting sustainable practices in the community. 

Before you go: 

  • Proof of Commerce City residency is required 

  • No businesses or contractors will be permitted 

This free event is held multiple times throughout the year, giving residents ongoing opportunities to maintain their yards and contribute to a cleaner, greener community.

Looking Ahead: Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event – April 25 

The city, in partnership with Republic Services, will host a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection event to help residents safely dispose of common household hazardous materials. 

Event details: 

  • Date: Saturday, April 25 

  • Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Location: Municipal Service Center, 8602 Rosemary St. 

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to properly dispose of items such as household chemicals, cleaners, and other hazardous materials that should not be placed in regular trash.
