On March 23, the City Council of Commerce City approved the creation of a Workforce Advisory Committee (WFAC) through Resolution 2026-048. The 13-member committee will serve as a temporary, two-year commission focused on strengthening workforce outcomes and supporting a more equitable, future-ready local economy. Members will represent a mix of education, business, nonprofit, trades, and government sectors.

The WFAC will provide recommendations to City Council on workforce-related policies and strategies, help engage underrepresented communities, and gather input from residents and stakeholders. The committee will also analyze data and support efforts to align local talent pipelines with business and community needs.

Interested candidates are encouraged to apply. Applications are due by Friday, April 17. Interviews are scheduled for Saturday, April 25. To learn more or interested in getting involved, visit c3gov.com/WFAC
