Commerce City is about to begin construction of the long-awaited traffic signal along Chambers Road at E. 105th Avenue in mid-January 2026. The new traffic light will provide safer access between Chambers Road and area businesses in the Reunion Marketplace (home to King Soopers) and the Reunion Station shopping centers.

Construction from city contractor Independence Traffic Services should be complete by the end of April 2026, weather permitting. Motorists should expect periodic lane closures, traffic control, and temporary access restrictions to the shopping centers on both the east and west sides of Chambers Road. Nearby businesses will remain accessible through alternate entrances during construction.

The E. 105th Avenue traffic signal is the first of three planned traffic signal installations along the Chambers Road corridor in 2026. Additional signal construction is expected to begin in the coming months at the intersections with Heartland Drive and E. 117th Avenue. The city appreciates your patience as this work is completed to improve traffic safety.
