Commerce City celebrated another major economic development milestone with the grand opening of the Holiday Inn & Suites Commerce City – Denver Airport. The new property is the first hotel developed along Commerce City’s Tower Road corridor and represents a significant investment in the city’s growing hospitality industry. With 106 guest rooms and suites, the opening effectively doubles the number of hotel rooms available in the city while creating more than 30 new jobs.
“Every successful development creates momentum,” said City Manager Jason Rogers. “When businesses choose to invest in Commerce City, they help create jobs, strengthen our economy, and contribute to the opportunities that will shape our community’s future. We are excited to welcome this investment and the people who will bring this hotel to life every day.”
The new hotel provides convenient access to Denver International Airport and serves as an additional lodging option for business travelers, families, visitors, and those attending events throughout the region. The property also includes meeting and event space, an on-site restaurant and bar, fitness amenities, an indoor pool, electric vehicle charging stations, and complimentary airport transportation. It also features sustainable features including a 60-kilowatt solar energy system and app-based energy controls designed to improve efficiency throughout the property.
“This kind of investment is exactly what the city is looking for,” said Deputy Director of Economic Development Brian Phetteplace. “The opening of the Holiday Inn & Suites represents more than a new place for visitors to stay; it represents confidence in our community, new opportunities for our residents and continued momentum for the growth and evolution of our city following the opening of the city’s first hotel in 2024.”
Commerce City excitedly welcomes developments like the Holiday Inn & Suites, which play an important role in building a strong and connected local economy by supporting employment opportunities, encouraging visitor spending, and expanding the amenities available in the community. As the city continues to grow, this new hotel represents a milestone for the Tower Road corridor and an investment in the city’s future.
