Commerce City Names Nathan “Nate” Byford Director of Human Resources

Byford brings more than two decades of human resources leadership experience with expertise in strategic planning, organizational development, and employment law. His background includes executive roles such as vice president of people operations, where he led large-scale initiatives across nonprofit and higher education sectors.

City Manager Jason Rogers shared his confidence in the appointment, noting that Byford’s collaborative, people-first approach will help advance the city’s commitment to excellence. 

“Nate’s leadership will play a key role in advancing our organizational development goals, supporting employee engagement, and ensuring we remain aligned with the expectations of our community and Council,” Rogers said. 

Byford’s appointment marks another important step in strengthening Commerce City’s leadership team and ensuring the city continues to deliver exceptional service to residents, businesses, and employees.
