The following is a recap of actions taken/votes held by City Council on each agenda item:

  • Public Comment 

  • Executive Session to receive legal advice on the application of the city’s tax code

  • Noticed Council Business: 

  • Request for a Study Session discussion about regulating data centers (Item passed 7 - 0 with 2 excused absences)

  • Ordinance request for data center moratorium (Item passed 7 - 0 with 2 excused absences)

  • Presentation of the annual update from the Veterans Commission 

  • Consent Agenda (13 items, including: Proclamation for Hispanic Heritage Month, establishing the Arts & Culture Commission, budget amendment ordinances, municipal code updates, contract awards, and more) 

    • Hispanic Heritage Month Item passed 7 - 0 (2 excused absences). 
  • Public Hearing on a resolution approving a development plan amendment for the property at 10251 Newark Street (Public Hearing postponed for a later date)

  • Resolutions: 

  • Authorizing reimbursement of a public infrastructure project with School District 27J (Item passed 7 - 0 with 2 excused absences)

  • Resolution granting an easement to United Power, Inc. for utilities to be located on city property at Buffalo Run Golf Course (Item passed 6 - 0 with 3 excused absences)

  • Administrative Council Business
