Blue sky with clouds.

Commerce City’s Energy, Equity and Environment (E3) Division invites residents to a free Air Quality Workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 5:30 p.m. at the Eagle Pointe Recreation Center (6060 Parkway Dr.). This hands-on event is a great opportunity for community members to learn more about local and indoor air quality, how air pollution is monitored, and ways to improve the air we breathe.

Attendees will even get the chance to tour a real mobile laboratory van and see how air quality is measured across Colorado. The workshop will also include participation from CDPHE’s Education and Community Opportunities (ECO) Unit, providing interactive displays and educational materials. Dinner will be provided, and participants will have the chance to win prizes, including one of 50 air purifiers available for giveaway (while supplies last).

Representatives from Commerce City’s E3 Division, Adams County, and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) will be on-site, including the Air Toxics and Ozone Precursor Program’s Mobile Air Toxics (MAT) team.

Don’t miss this chance to connect with local environmental experts, learn more about air quality in our community, and take home tools to help you breathe easier. For more information, contact 303-289-3652 or mmascarenaz@c3gov.com.
