Commerce City is bringing a whole new level of excitement to its annual 4thFEST celebration this year with a first-time partnership featuring the inaugural World Rugby Nations Cup at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park on Saturday, July 4. Known each year for hosting Colorado’s largest public Fourth of July fireworks show, 4thFEST returns with a full day of free family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and an unforgettable Independence Day atmosphere, now paired with an international rugby doubleheader featuring teams from around the world.

The free outdoor festival begins at 3 p.m. outside DICK’S Sporting Goods Park, located at 6000 Victory Way in Commerce City. Families and visitors can enjoy a wide variety of activities throughout the afternoon and evening, including bounce houses, a rock-climbing wall, alpine slide, pedal carts, a mechanical bull, interactive games, food vendors, music, and more.

This year’s event also marks the kickoff of the inaugural World Rugby Nations Cup, bringing elite international competition to Commerce City. Inside the stadium, Tonga will face Zimbabwe at 4:15 p.m., followed by Team USA taking on Portugal at 7 p.m. in a featured Independence Day matchup. Even for those without game tickets, the community is invited to be part of the celebration. The rugby matches will add to the energy and atmosphere surrounding the event, while the free outdoor festival remains open to everyone.

“Commerce City is incredibly excited for this new chapter of 4thFEST alongside the World Rugby Nations Cup,” said Commerce City Mayor Steve Douglas. “4thFEST is a long-standing tradition in our community, and we look forward to giving our residents a new twist on this event while welcoming rugby fans to Commerce City for a memorable Independence Day celebration and fireworks show.”

The night will conclude with Colorado’s largest public fireworks display, lighting up the sky above DICK’S Sporting Goods Park in a spectacular finale to the celebration. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy all the festival activities and plan ahead for parking and transportation due to expected crowds.
