Nature Walk

Saturday, April 4
10 - 11:30 a.m.
Prairie Gateway Open Space, 6350 Gateway Road

Kick off Earth Month in April by connecting with nature at a special guided walk hosted by Commerce City. Community members of all ages are invited to join staff from the city’s Community Well-Being Division, Energy, Equity, and the Environment Division, and Park Rangers for a relaxing and educational morning outdoors.

During the walk, participants will explore the natural beauty of Prairie Gateway Open Space while learning about the important connection between access to green space and mental well-being. Spending time in nature has been shown to reduce stress, improve mood, and support overall health, and this event offers a chance to experience those benefits right here in Commerce City.

City staff and Park Rangers will guide attendees along the trails, share insights about the local landscape and wildlife, and highlight ways residents can take advantage of Commerce City’s parks, trails, and open spaces throughout the year. This family-friendly event is free and open to all ages. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water.
