Commerce City, COLO. (May 1, 2026) – Commerce City elected officials, staff, community members, and project partners gathered today to celebrate the official groundbreaking for the long-awaited renovation and expansion of the Buffalo Run Golf Course clubhouse and Bison Grill restaurant. Held outside the facility at 15700 East 112th Ave., the ceremony marked the start of a $12 million investment that will transform the facility into a modern, vibrant community gathering and dining destination.

“This moment has been years in the making, and we are grateful to everyone who made it possible – from elected officials, to city staff and partners, and most importantly, the residents, golfers, and customers who have supported Buffalo Run and Bison Grill,” said Mayor Pro Tem and Ward IV Councilmember Susan Noble. “The renovations occurring here will ensure it remains an important community space that can help move Commerce City forward into an exciting future.”

City officials were joined by resident appointees from the city’s Parks, Recreation and Golf Commission and contractors from Brinkmann Constructors for a first look at the exciting new plans for the clubhouse. Originally built in 1996, the Buffalo Run clubhouse will be expanded and fully renovated to create a modern facility that elevates the golfing experience while serving as a vibrant hub for community events and dining. The Bison Grill restaurant will also see expanded space and an upgraded kitchen, promising an elevated dining experience for golfers and residents alike.

“What we're building isn't just a new restaurant or a fresh coat of paint,” said City Manager Jason Rogers. “We're building a reimagined experience – a vibrant community space open to golfers and restaurant goers alike, where great food, great views, and great company all come together.”

As construction begins today, the clubhouse and restaurant will be fully closed through the completion of the project in Spring 2027. Buffalo Run Golf Course itself will remain open for regular operating hours throughout the entire construction period, with on-site food options available for golfers in place of the restaurant.
