NOTICE

The City of Commerce City, in good faith, is without knowledge of any evidence indicating the owner of any items left in this area does not intend to abandon said items. Unless otherwise advised, such items will be presumed abandoned and properly disposed of in accordance with the
terms in this Notice. Nothing herein shall prohibit the owner of any items from removing said items in advance of its removal. This Notice is being posted on 5/14/26 at 4:30 p.m., and is providing a minimum of 3 days notice to remove any item that is personal property.  All abandoned items are scheduled for removal between 5/17/26 and 5/25/26 and cannot be reclaimed. In addition, the city will remove and dispose of any items that are contaminated, damaged, dismantled, or deteriorated. Also items that are deemed unsafe to store and will be properly disposed. This includes but is not limited to: propane tanks, gasoline tanks, batteries, generators and ammunition.

Please Remove All Personal Belongings

The City will collect, inventory, and store important personal property (for example, personal identification cards and documents, birth certificates, medical records, legal documents, photographs, cash, credit cards, checks, military records, or any other documents that may be difficult or impossible to replicate or may have significant value to the owner) for 30 days. Additionally, unattended, uncontaminated property that does not pose a threat to public health or safety and that has apparent value or utility to an individual will be collected and stored. You may claim the above types of personal property and belongings by setting up an appointment with CCPD Property and Evidence by calling 303-289-3657 (Mon–Fri, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.). All personal property that is not claimed within 30 days is subject to disposal.
