Chambers Road Trail Detour public comment open

Commerce City is moving forward with plans to widen Chambers Road from 105th to 116th Avenue, improving connections to nearby streets and adding raised medians, drainage upgrades, lighting, landscaping, sidewalks/trails, and signal enhancements. Construction is expected to begin in 2027.

The project includes upgrades to the multi-use trail along Chambers Road. To rebuild the trail with a new 12-foot concrete path on the east side and a 6-foot sidewalk on the west side, a temporary closure and detour will be required during the first phase of construction for about five months. Clear signage will guide users between open sections of the trail.

Public comments about the proposed improvements and temporary trail impacts may be submitted to Sarah Koeber at koeber@pinyon-env.com through Sunday, Dec. 7.
