Parade Staging/Lineup Numbers

An informational packet with the parade route, staging location and pre-assigned lineup numbers will be sent to participants via email the week of May 20. Entries will receive their number placards at the check-in tent when they arrive. Display the number on both sides of the entry, including the front driver side/left side of your float/vehicle at the beginning of your entry for identification by the announcer and judges at the reviewing stand.

Parade Check-In

One person from your entry must check in at the staging tent at the corner of E. 64th Avenue and Holly Street by 8:30 a.m. to verify your attendance. Vehicles that are not participating in the parade should not park on staging streets, but participants can use other nearby streets to park vehicles and walk to your designated staging street.

 Info coming soon.

Finishing the Parade Route

After completing the parade route, please DO NOT stop on Parkway Drive. Proceed to the end of Parkway Drive and turn right onto Vasquez Boulevard to exit the route. The right lane of Vasquez Boulevard/Highway 2 will be closed to regular traffic to allow parade entries to travel north to E. 62nd or E. 64th avenues. From there, you can go around the parade route to return to the staging area or parked vehicles until the parade ends.

Car Clubs

Car club entries are limited to 20 vehicles (unless prior approval is received from the parade coordinator) and should travel the parade route side by side in two columns. Car club entries may be limited or capped at the discretion of the parade committee.

Candy Distribution

No candy is to be thrown to the crowd from moving vehicles or floats due to safety concerns and past experience. If you wish to distribute candy or any other items, you may have people walking near the curbs to give out candy to the crowd. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS!! If an infraction to this rule occurs, your units may not be allowed to participate in future parades.

Appropriate Appearance/Conduct

All entries participating in the parade must appear and conduct themselves appropriately for a family-friendly event honoring our fallen military members and veterans. Decorations, signage, public displays, and music associated with all entries should be tasteful, free of profanity, and avoid inappropriate messages. Any decoration, message being displayed, or conduct deemed offensive by parade staff will result in your entry being asked to leave and potentially being ineligible to participate in future events.
