A free landfill day is scheduled for Saturday, August 9. Residents are invited to bring bulky items and/or large quantities of garbage that will not fit in their regular curbside trash can. Each household can bring one load to the landfill for FREE with proof of residency.

  • Residents must show proof of residency (Colorado ID)
  • One load only (per household)
  • All loads must be covered with a tarp if not contained within the vehicle
  • Mattresses and box springs are subject to the current gate rate fee
  • No charge for cars, vans, or SUVs; the first 5 yards for pickup trucks and trailers are also no charge; however, anything that exceeds the 5-yard maximum will be subject to a current gate rate charge plus applicable fee
  • Appliances are accepted free of charge on free landfill days only and will be recycled (appliances with refrigerants are not accepted)
  • NOT ACCEPTED: electronics, tires, car batteries, or any hazardous materials/liquids. These items can be discarded through the hazardous waste disposal program.
