October 2025 Connected newsletter updated with candidate profiles
Published on September 29, 2025
Elections are one of the most important ways residents shape the future of our community. That is why Commerce City is committed to making sure every candidate has the opportunity to share their message and every voter has access to accurate, reliable information.
On Friday afternoon, we learned that two candidate submissions were not received by city staff because the emails were flagged and quarantined by our email provider as potential phishing.
This meant two candidates’ submissions were not included in the original electronic version of the October 2025 edition of the Connected newsletter.
While staff followed deadlines and procedures, we take responsibility for the impact, extend our sincerest apologies to the affected candidates, and are taking immediate corrective action to ensure the community obtains accurate and reliable information.
What we are doing:
- Updated the online version of the Commerce City Connected. (PDF, 15MB)
- Re-printing the October 2025 Commerce City Connected newsletter with the missing candidate information included. Due to this, there will be a slight mailing delay.
- Working with our technology partners to prevent potential issues in the future.
We regret the inconvenience and appreciate the community’s understanding. Our goal is to ensure fair access to information, strengthen trust in local elections, and keep residents engaged and informed. We remain committed to transparency, fairness, and election integrity.
