Commerce City organizes several community events each year. They are great way to get out, give back, meet your neighbors or just enjoy the community spirit!

Spread the Love
Each February the Spread the Love campaign encourages the donation of peanut butter and jelly jars that are then distributed to local food banks. During the 2019 campaign more than 2,000 jars were collected!
Memorial Day Parade
Commerce City is proud to hold the largest Memorial Day parade in the state with 100+ entries. From military units and bands to floats, antique cars and horse entries, the 1.5 mile parade route is popular with the entire community. View the parade details.
Quality Community Foundation Golf Tournament
The annual Quality Community Foundation Scholarship Golf Tournament supports post-secondary educational opportunities for Commerce City residents and is typically held in mid-June.
Public Works Touch-a-Truck
Enjoy free food and activities as you learn more about how public works improves everyday life in the city. Kids can climb inside snow plows, street sweepers, tractors and many other working vehicles.
Cine en el Parque
Bring your blanket, pack a picnic and watch family movies in the park this summer. Sponsored by El Comericio newspaper, the city and the police department. Pre-movie activities start at 7 p.m. and the movie starts at approximately 8:45 p.m.

2nd Annual Police & Fire Open House
Enjoy free food and entertainment, explore police and fire equipment and vehicles, tour the police station, meet the officers and much more!

National Night Out
The Commerce City Police Department encourages residents to join this annual celebration, which brings neighborhoods together for block parties and other organized activities with local first responders to help stand against crime in the community.

Quality Community Foundation Fall Scholarship Fundraiser
Don't miss Painting for a Purpose on Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Bison Ridge Recreation Center. This unique and fun activity, held along with a silent auction, benefits QCF activities that include post-secondary education scholarships for Commerce City students; access to recreational programming offered by and through the city; and grants to nonprofit organizations that serve city residents.

Trunk or Treat & Creepy Hollows Fright Night
Bring your kids (ages 2-10) to Trunk or Treat at Pioneer Park on Oct. 26 from 1-4 p.m. to get your trick-or-treating started off right with treats from our community partners.
That same night from 7-10 p.m., older kids, grades 6-12, can get their "scare on" at the Creepy Hollows Fright Night at Eagle Pointe Recreation Center. Kids can dance to the DJ, pose at the photo booth and if they dare, wander through the haunted maze. They can also win some wicked prizes at the costume contest!
The fair provides free and low-cost screenings, as well as flu shots. There are also wellness activities and resources for improving health and fitness within your family. Each November, the Project Present campaign encourages sponsorships of local in-need children to receive holiday gifts. Children are nominated through their school and gifts are delivered in December. This program is made possible through the generosity of local businesses, community members and city employees. Art Show & Tree Lighting
Join the countdown and watch the festive tree lighting at this free event held at the civic center in December. View the art show sponsored by the Commerce City Cultural Council, enjoy warm refreshments and snacks, sing along with professional carolers, and mingle with elected officials and staff. 2019 date TBD.
Cereal with Santa
Santa Claus visits Commerce City each year in December. This year, wear your pajamas and enjoy cereal with Santa. There will also be holiday crafts for the little ones. 2019 date TBD.
