CDBG Virtual Public Input Meeting - April 15
April 10 Update: The city’s CDBG program recently received additional funds to help those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The CARES Act will provide the city with nearly $247,000 to assist low-to-moderate-income residents in Commerce City. The new purpose of this meeting is to collect community feedback on how the city should use these funds and also share recent changes to the CDBG program.
The city wants to hear your feedback on proposed community projects that could be funded with federal grant dollars. The city’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program gathers public feedback each year to select projects that meet federal requirements for assisting low- to moderate-income residents and neighborhoods. The city held an initial project idea meeting on Feb. 4 and accepted project applications from nonprofit organizations through March 11.
