UPDATE: Missing Child Found After Search
Commerce City, Colo. (February 13, 2020) - On February 13, the Commerce City Police Department safely located Danny Fish Jr. The child’s mother, Valerie Watson turned herself in today to a Denver Police facility. Denver Police contacted Commerce City Police and the child was found in good health and is being reunited with his father. Ms. Watson is in custody and will be facing criminal charges. The nature of those charges are being evaluated by detectives and the Adams County District Attorney’s Office. The members of the Commerce City Police Department are thankful to the public and media for their assistance in locating Danny Fish Jr. No further information is available at this time.
Commerce City, Colo. (February 11, 2020) - The Commerce City Police Department is still actively searching for Danny Fish Jr., age 2 ½. (a black male child, approximately 3 feet tall and about 40 pounds, black hair and brown eyes). He is still believed to be in the company of his mother, Valerie Watson, age 29, (a black woman, 6’1” tall, very thin, with black hair and brown eyes). They are still believed to be frequenting the East Colfax corridor. Attached are new photographs. Ms. Watson has had her parental rights removed and she is legally restrained from Danny Fish Jr. The Commerce City Police Department is concerned for his well-being.
Commerce City, Colo. (02/07/2020 12:00 PM) - On Thursday, February 6, 2020, the Commerce City Police Department was made aware of a parent who had taken her child, after having parental rights removed. Valerie Watson, age 29, a black woman with dark hair and brown eyes, 6’1” tall, took her son, Danny Fish Jr. from his home in Commerce City. Danny Fish Jr., age 2 ½ is a black male child, about three feet tall and about 40 pounds with dark hair and brown eyes. Ms. Watson was last seen in the area of Colfax Ave. and Colorado Blvd. at approximately 4:00pm on Thursday, February 6, 2020. Ms. Watson is known to frequent hotels along the East Colfax corridor.
