Weekend concert brings increased traffic/activity to civic center area
A weekend concert event featuring Phish at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park (DSGP) will bring increased traffic and pedestrian activity to the area around the venue and Commerce City Civic Center this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
If you plan on visiting the civic center on Friday, August 30, please be aware that E. 60th Ave. from Spruce St. to Trenton St. will close to non-event traffic at 6 a.m. To access the civic center after that time, please use Prairie Parkway to reach the main parking lot on the northwest side of the building.
Tri-County Health Department informed Dicks Sporting Goods Park that camping would not be permitted anywhere on the premises for the upcoming Phish concert due to plague-affected prairie dog colonies. There are no alternate camping sites in Commerce City and camping within city limits is prohibited. In addition, all dirt open space areas around DSGP remain closed and people should follow closure signs and avoid entering these areas.
On August 20, Phish released information to their fans regarding camping and vending restrictions at the upcoming concert. For more information about the venue or concert, including alternate parking and accommodations, contact Dick’s Sporting Goods Park at www.dickssportinggoodspark.com/features/phish-camping/ or Phish directly.
If you have concerns or complaints to report about noise levels from the concerts, please call the Dick’s Sporting Goods Park noise hotline at 303-727-3777.
Any other non-emergency complaints about this weekend’s activity can be reported to the Adams County Dispatch Center at 303-288-1535. In case of emergency, call 911.
