Post Date:06/26/2019 2:42 PM
4th_fest_logoCelebrate the Fourth of July safely in Commerce City with one of the largest fireworks show in the state of Colorado. Commerce City’s free annual 4thFest celebration, Thursday, July 4, 2019 takes place outside at the south end of Dick’s Sporting Goods Park (6000 Victory Way). Outdoor festivities take place from 5-9 p.m. with fun family activities including live music and karaoke, ropes and obstacle course, face painters, and much more. Denver band Lola Rising will perform live on the outdoor main stage from 7-8:30 p.m.

The Colorado Rapids take on the New England Revolution at 7 p.m. (tickets at while free festivities continue outside the stadium. Fireworks begin around 9:30 p.m. following the game. Watch the fireworks live from inside the stadium (ticket holders only), or from the parking lots surrounding Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. This is the largest game of the season and drivers may experience traffic congestion around the stadium during 4thFest.

Fireworks are illegal within city limits. You are not allowed to possess, make, use, or sell fireworks – even small sparklers – within city limits or in city parks. Jail and substantial fines are possible consequences for violating this fireworks ban. Last year, city council increased the city’s fines to $500 for a first offense and $750 for a second. To report the use of fireworks in your neighborhood, call the non-emergency dispatch line at 303-288-1535. Fireworks complaints will be given priority in the period around July 4. Do not call 911 to report fireworks violations, since this could slow down response times for life-threatening emergencies.
