Post Date:06/17/2019 2:56 PM

Bring the whole family to the fifth annual Public Works Touch-a-Truck event for a chance to climb inside working city vehicles, enjoy fun activities and learn more about the public works programs and city employees that help improve quality of life in the city each day. The event features free hot dogs, chips and snow cones, games and gift card giveaways.

Vehicles on display include a snowplow, street sweeper, motor grader, Waste Management garbage truck, police SWAT rescue vehicle and many more. Kids can decorate snowplow blades at the “paint-a-plow” station and drop a city employee in the dunk tank to raise money for the Quality Community Foundation. Visitors can also tour the sign-making shop, learn more about recycling, see updates on construction projects and get home maintenance tips from facilities staff.
