EVENT POSTPONED: Volunteer for Paint-a-Thon to help seniors and residents with disabilities!

Post Date:05/31/2019 11:55 AM

June 21, 2019 UPDATE: This event has been postponed due to the inclement weather forecast.

Form a team of 10-25 people and join members of city council and the city's youth commission for a day of service with the Brothers Redevelopment Paint-a-Thon program on Saturday, June 22 in Commerce City.

Volunteering consists of painting home exteriors and making home accessibility improvements for elderly and/or homeowners with disabilities in the city who cannot make the improvements themselves. This nonprofit program is a great opportunity to meet neighbors and help those in need.

Residents from the community, area businesses, and service organizations are invited to form teams to provide volunteer labor. Brothers Redevelopment, Inc. has been organizing this event in the Denver area for 41 years and provides all the necessary supplies and safety training.

The city’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is covering the costs for 17 deserving homes in the city to take part in the 2019 Paint-a-Thon program.
