Grant funding available for local nonprofits
APPLICATION ASSISTANCE MEETING SCHEDULED FOR JANUARY 23
The Quality Community Foundation (QCF) is accepting applications for its 2019 grant program through Feb. 4. Last year, the city awarded 27 grants totaling more than $136,325 to local nonprofit organizations.
QCF grants provide funding for a wide variety of programs and services in the city, including emergency housing for homeless families, volunteer organizations, and meals for seniors.
Applications are available online at c3gov.com/QCF and are due on Feb. 4. A grant session workshop is scheduled for January 23 (5:30-7 p.m.) at the civic center, 7887 E. 60th Ave. Interested organizations are invited to attend the workshop to learn about the application process and ask questions. QCF will also host a Facebook Live grant question and answer session on January 30 starting at 5 p.m. at Facebook.com/ComCityQCF.
Grants will be distributed in March. If not submitting an online application, physical applications can be sent to: Quality Community Foundation, 7887 E. 60th Avenue, Commerce City, CO 80022 or contact Daniela Villarreal at firstname.lastname@example.org or 303-227-8832.
The Quality Community Foundation was established in 2006 and its goal is to support and obtain funding for post-secondary education and recreational program scholarships for local youth. The foundation also provides grants to fund various non-profit organizations which benefit Commerce City residents.
