Application criteria:
* 21 years of age or older
* P.O.S.T. (Peace Officer Standards and Training) certified
* Valid Colorado’s driver’s license
Testing may include:
* Written communication skills test, including spelling and grammar
* Oral résumé by the candidate
* Performance in a role-play activity
* Voice stress analysis certification
* Extensive background check
* Interview with the Chief of Police
Upon approval by the Chief of Police:
* Contingent job offer from Human Resources
* Physical and psychological evaluation and a drug screen is scheduled
Upon satisfactory evaluation, orientation to the City is scheduled.
