COMMERCE CITY CITY COUNCIL

CALL TO ORDER

 

A study session of the City Council of the City of Commerce City was called to order by Mayor Natale on July 14, 2008, at 6:37 p.m.

Present:

Councilman Benson

Councilman McEldowney

Councilman Lewis

Councilwoman Snyder

Councilman Johnson

Councilwoman Teter

 

Staff Reporting:

City Manager Jerry Flannery

City Engineer Daren Sterling

 

REPORTS

The planning budget retreat is tentatively scheduled for August 23, 2008.  The agenda will be discussed at a future meeting. Council was asked to send discussion items to City Manager Flannery.  Council reached a consensus to hold the advances out of the City.

City Engineer Daren Sterling reported that the 104th and Chamber intersection improvements will reopen late on Monday, July 21, 2008.

The upcoming events calendar was read.

CURRENT AGENDA ITEMS

 

Adams County Social Services Overview Dr. Cassada, Director of Adams County Social Services, gave an overview of the social services department and the services they provide. Council expressed concern with the rising number of child abuse cases in Commerce City.
