Commerce City organizes several community events each year. They are great way to get out, give back, meet your neighbors or just enjoy the community spirit!

Annual Highlights

February

Spread the Love

Each February the Spread the Love campaign encourages the donation of peanut butter and jelly jars that are then distributed to local food banks. During the 2017 campaign a grand total of 1,483 jars were collected! 

May 

Memorial Day Parade

Commerce City is proud to hold the largest Memorial Day parade in the state with 100+ entries. From military units and bands to floats, antique cars and horse entries, the 1.5 mile parade route is popular with the entire community.

June

Quality Community Foundation Golf Tournament

The annual Quality Community Foundation Scholarship Golf Tournament, typically held in June, supports post-secondary educational opportunities for Commerce City residents.

Summer Months

Cine en el Parque

Bring your blanket, pack a picnic and watch family movies in the park this summer. Sponsored by El Comericio newspaper, the city and the police department.

Neighborhood Outreaches

Bring your family to enjoy this Commerce City summer tradition. Enjoy free food and entertainment, while learning more about the city, local nonprofit organizations and service providers.

Aug. 10 from 6-8:30 p.m.: Pioneer Park Swerve (Country & Classic Rock)

4THFest

With one of the state’s largest fireworks displays, inflatables and interactive games, live entertainment and a Colorado Rapids game, Commerce City knows how to throw a party for our nation’s birthday.

Commerce City Cultural Council's Music in the Park

Enjoy a variety of music for FREE at alternating parks. Food trucks will be at all locations. View the schedule and musical artists and learn more about the Cultural Council.

Every Thursday in July from 6-8 p.m. 

October 

Creepy Hollows Fall Festival

Kids, wear your costumes and enjoy the festival atmosphere at this annual event. Get your trick-or-treating started off right with a bag of goodies on the way out. Ages: 2-10 and their parents.

November 

9Health Fair

The fair provides free and low-cost screenings, as well as flu shots. There are also wellness activities and resources for improving health and fitness within your family. For more information on the 9Health Fair, visit www.9healthfair.org.

Nov. 11 from 7 a.m.-12 p.m.: FREE. Adams City High School, 7200 Quebec Pkwy. 

December 

Art Show & Tree Lighting

Join the countdown and watch the festive tree lighting at this free event held at the civic center in December. View the art show sponsored by the Commerce City Cultural Council, enjoy warm refreshments and snacks, sing along with professional carolers, and mingle with elected officials and staff.

Mingle with Kringle at Buffalo Run Golf Course

Santa Claus visits Buffalo Run each year in December. Bring your camera and take a photo with Santa. Little ones will also enjoy holiday crafts. Feast on light refreshments provided by the Bison Grill and relax next to the stone fireplace.
