The city’s Quality Community Foundation hosts a golf tournament to raise funds for their annual scholarship program for local residents. The tournament is held in June at the city's Buffalo Run Golf Course with registration opening in late March.

All proceeds from the tournament help Commerce City residents who plan to pursue a post-secondary education. The Scholarship Committee selects citizens from Commerce City, Adams County School District 14, or School District 27J to receive scholarships that are awarded in annual increments of $1,000 for up to four years.
