With construction underway on a new recreation center, upcoming improvements to the existing recreation center, numerous parks recently added around the city and future trail connectivity planned, it’s an exciting time to be involved.

The committee will serve as a voice of the public by advising the city on various issues related to recreation and golf programs, services and facilities along with parks, trails and open spaces owned and operated by the city. 


The committee meets every month on the third Tuesday at 6 p.m. The regular meeting shall be held at alternating locations including the Commerce City Recreation Center (6060 E. Parkway Drive) and Buffalo Run Golf Course (15700 E. 112th Ave).


The committee is comprised of up to 13 members which includes two council members. Each member shall be a resident of the city, an employee of a business in the city, or an owner of property in the city.
