Stand together against crime on National Night Out Aug. 1

Post Date:07/27/2017 2:35 PM

On Aug. 1, Commerce City residents come together in their neighborhoods with police officers to stand up against crime. National Night Out is an annual celebration across the United States that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood engagement to create a safe space to live and play. Neighborhoods host block parties and activities with food, fun, entertainment and more.

“National Night Out is a great opportunity to get to know your neighbors and local police officers,” said crime prevention officer, Elizabeth Couture. “By participating in this event, the community is sending a message to criminals letting them know that they are organized and fighting against crime.”
