Commerce City hosts Spanish-language town hall
Reunión con Lideres de la Ciudad provides information and resources
Commerce City is hosting a Spanish-language town hall, or Reunión con Líderes de la Ciudad, on October 11 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Anythink Library, 7185 Monaco St. Commerce City residents are invited to learn about resources and services within in the city, enjoy appetizers, and participate in a question and answer session with bilingual city council members and staff.
The hour meeting will be conducted entirely in Spanish and focus on a variety of topics such as public safety, immigration, city improvements under construction, and upcoming events. Translation will be provided for English-language participants.
Last year Commerce City piloted two Spanish-language telephone town halls, generating more than 60 participants. Resident feedback showed Spanish speakers prefer one-on-one interactions, resulting in this year’s in-person format.
