Eagle Pointe renovations pass halfway mark
Progress continues on the renovations of the Eagle Pointe Recreation Center, which are scheduled for completion at the end of this year. The new exterior walls and ceiling are in place in the expanded aquatics area, where workers have prepared for the installation of the new therapy pool. The main entryway is retiled and a new front desk is installed. Roof replacement continues on the existing building and ongoing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire alarm/sprinkler work continues throughout the entire facility.
Starting August 20, the gymnasium will be added to the list of closed areas in the facility to help ensure safe and fast construction. Other currently closed areas include the swimming pool, fitness areas, racquetball courts and locker rooms. These closures are expected to last for the remainder of the project. The south entrance remains closed until late August. Visitors can still use the north entrance until that time.
Reduced hours of operation will also go into effect starting August 20 until renovations are completed. There are no changes to the Active Adult Center hours.
Hours of Operation:
Monday-Thursday: 6:30 a.m.-9 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: Closed
Both recreation centers are closed Monday, Sept. 3 for Labor Day.
Thank you for your patience as crews work hard to complete the renovations as quickly and safely as possible. Please respect construction signs and use caution when visiting. Patrons will be notified of major impacts through the recreation center email list and the front desk.
