Free health screenings and information at 9Health Fair
Flu shots and more than 20 free exams for men, women and children
The 9Health Fair makes it easy and affordable to take charge of your health. Now in its tenth year, men, women and children can take advantage of the screenings and services during the event Saturday, November 11, at Adams City High School, 7200 Quebec Parkway, from 7 a.m. to Noon.
Free and low-cost health screenings are available for men, women and children of all ages; from blood chemistry and kidney risk assessments to vision and dental screenings. Women can receive free PAP smears and breast exams, and men can take advantage of free prostate/testicular tests. Children can get free Type 1 diabetes screenings and everyone can learn about the YMCA diabetes prevention program. Free flu shots also are available for both adults and children.
No identification or insurance card is required at the 9Health Fair; everyone is welcome to take advantage of these free and low-cost services.
More than 650 local residents participated in the 2016 event. Attendees can enjoy healthy cooking demonstrations, learn more about Affordable Care Act enrollment, and get information on available health and social services.
