Help plan future improvements in Irondale

Post Date:10/25/2017 10:00 AM
Irondale graphic mapThe Irondale neighborhood is changing as new development takes place, and it’s time to plan improvements to infrastructure elements like roads, utilities and drainage and determine a vision for future land use. The city is working on a plan to help guide the neighborhood into the future, but we need your input to decide what is most important.

We want to hear from residents, business owners and their customers, employees who work in the neighborhood, and drivers who travel through it to create a plan that works for people in Irondale. Join us for an open house to talk about the neighborhood as it exists today, discuss current challenges and explore how to build and grow into the future.

Irondale Neighborhood and Infrastructure Plan – Open House
Thursday, Nov. 2
4 – 6:30 p.m.
Tradicion Bar & Grill
8383 Rosemary St.

Additional meetings and opportunities for public comment will be scheduled in the coming months before the project completes in mid-2018.

Located in the center of Commerce City along the northwest border of the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, the Irondale neighborhood is home to residents, businesses, industrial centers, agriculture and more. This project will prioritize infrastructure needs and land use concepts to help guide growth and change in the neighborhood in the years to come. Planning for the needs of Irondale in advance will help make sure the right improvements and future development happen in a thoughtful way.

For more information or with questions about the project, contact city planner Jenny Axmacher at or 303-289-3772.
