Free food and family fun at neighborhood outreach

Neighborhood Outreach event

The summer season kicks off with Commerce City’s first neighborhood outreach of the year on June 8 at Fronterra Park, 10020 Joplin St. Enjoy free food and entertainment while learning more about the city, local nonprofit organizations and service providers.

City staff is serving up free all-beef hot dogs, chips, fresh veggies and watermelon slices at the neighborhood outreach events. Children can bounce around on inflatables, get their faces painted and bring their bikes to the recreation tent for a quick tune-up from Commerce City police officers. New this year, families can climb on the rock wall at the GoWild outdoor area and learn more about outdoor activities within the region. Live entertainment will be provided by That Eighties Band.

Elected officials, city staff, local school districts, health organizations, developers and representatives from area agencies and businesses are on hand to provide information about their programs and answer questions.
